Comments about John Pike Palettes:

I have used my John Pike Palette since 1999 and it still works perfectly; it has not cracked or broken and its surface cleans back to white easily. I am now teaching watercolor classes in my studio, and I did not offer my students any palette other than this one. As my classes are growing, I will continue to recommend the John Pike palette to each and every new student.

I use this palette at home and transport it to classes. It is quite sturdy and is holding up well. Paint wells are nice and large as is the mixing area. Cleans up nicely with a little scrubbing.

Comments about John Pike Palettes:

While it is too soon to comment on the long term utility of the product from personal experience, I can tell you that probably 90% of the students in my watercolor class use this pallet. That was why I bought it. I note that they also tape their projects to the bottom of the cover. I haven't done that yet but looks like a good thing to do.
I think this is going to be a good long term purchase.

Comments about John Pike Palettes:

The John Pike palette is the only one I use. The surface stays white for years, and the paint won't bead up like many other palettes. Large wells and one huge mixing area fit my needs perfectly. I use it in the studio and en plein air.

Quality of item far surpasses those initially purchased at Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I am very pleased with the John Pike Palette. This does not stain, it is NOT TOO slick and paint mixes well on surface. Highly recommend.

Comments about John Pike Palettes:

I bought this product from a recommendation from an instructor. It has proved to be a well serving product. It is much better tham most you see in common art stores or hobby and craft stores such as Hobby Lobby or Michaels. IF you love a variety of colors, buy two!

The Pike palette is perfect for watercolor--deep wells, good mixing area, durable, air-tight. My last one is still in use after 20 years. Wouldn't use any other.

My only regret is that I should have ordered the one with smaller wells. My style doesn't call for wells this big

Comments about John Pike Palettes:

I am an professional artist and watercolor teacher. I have used these for years and they last and last. The quality of the heavy plastic is better than most and the large mixing area is great for watercolors. I have had one for 12 years and recently bought another one for a different color palette. I recommend these for all of my students.
