Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
The Red Madder is NOT a substitute for Alizeran Crimson. Also I expected a deep violet from the Cobalt Violet but was disappointed on how light colored it is. That's my own stupidity tho. I should have realized COBALT in the name meant it would be light. Will Rembrandt PLEASE concoct an Alizeran?
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Dark colors are more transparent than in other brands

This paint is a good value, has great color and the creamy consistency, I love!
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
After years of using student or budget-minded oils, I recently purchased this brand. Everything they say about using, seeing, and mixing a better quality of paint versus low-grade paint is true. But they are expensive. If you are a student or money strapped, I suggest purchasing a few tubes of these to work & mix, rather than buying student set.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I use a variety of brands of paint in my art. Rembrandt paint is at the top of the list. They are creamy, have a high color intensity, and they are less expensive then most.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Great quality, better value than the WN I've used exclusively for years.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I do not have enough knowledge to state if Rembrandt oil paints are the best oil paints on the market, however, there is no doubt they are quality paints. They have a lovely feel and texture. I enjoy using them. I am happy to recommend Rembrandts artist oil paints to anyone who loves painting with oils.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Rembrandt paints were recommended by an art workshop teacher. This was the first time I had used them and was very pleased with the color and texture.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
A teacher recommends that all of us students use Rembrandt paint. I was slow to be converted, as I typically use less expensive paints. The color that really convinced me about the brilliance of the pigment was using the Cadmium Orange. When I am painting plein aire, I've tried at least four other brands of orange, as well as mixtures, and there's just no substitute.
Rembrandt can be expensive in many retail locations, so I am really happy about ordering from JAR.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I was recently introduced to this brand and was awe struck by the intensity of the colors and creamy texture of the paints. I am very pleased with the results I see on my canvases.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I was recently introduced to this brand and was immediately taken with the rich color and smooth consistency. Then effects in my paintings have been dramatic and exceedingly pleasing.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I have been purchasing Rembrandt paint off and on for 10 years and am still using some of those paints that I bought in the beginning. I find that it is a good paint for the money. I do recommend it to friends, with only one caution. Be careful with the tubes. Unfortunately, they are very flimsy and soft and twist and break when you are trying to open them and the caps are hard to screw back on. I find this very disappointing.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
just finest oil color at the best price
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
These are the only paints I use, get great colors and I love the smooth texture.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
best color for the money
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Definitely good stuff, ... although
sometimes by warm weather it becomes a little
too fluid, but when putting it a night on a piece of newspaper it's just fine again. There are better colours available from other branches but this one good stuff for good money.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I'm a portrait painter, and I've found these paints to be of superior quality. The colors are intense, and the consistency is buttery, but not "too" buttery (hope that makes sense, lol). I would definitely recommend these to anyone who wants to add vibrancy to their paintings.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Great color consistency
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Since I am realitively new at painting with oils, I have not "tried all brands", however, I ordered Rembrant and was very happy and just have not tried others. I am happy with the colors and quality of the paints. The consistancy is just right for my type of paintings. I expect to continue with this brand ... I see no need to switch.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
This is a proven quality oil paint that can be trusted for excellent color dependability.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Love the thick and creamy oils. There is a problem with the tubes as they burst when entering high altitude. This includes on the plane and when going into the mountains. I can only use these paints down in the valley but I do love them.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Rembrandt Oils are the juiciest colors available! And I love the wide variety of transparent oil colors.

Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Rembrandt's transparent colors are great. I use them as an underpainting to get lots of color. My favorites are Transparent Oxide Red and Transparent Oxide Yellow. I would recommend the transparent colors to others.
The paint is great; however, occasionally the lid won't tighten.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I like the colors. IMHO, their cerulean blue, indigo blue and terre verte are the best of the best.
I also think their naples yellow is wonderful.
The colors are subtle. They have a good consistency, and I am always happy to have these paints on my palette.
I have been a loyal customer for some time now.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
You have every reason to use the best with the combination of this paint and unbeatable prices!
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
Rembrandt Oils provide a superior consistancy not too thick and not too thin. They stain beautifully and the colors are true. All in all, they are the best I have tried.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
These oils are so smooth and easy to work with. The colors are true and rich, and an important thing to me is that their caps don't break off after using them two or three times like so many other brands do.
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
The richness and consistency keeps them easy to use even after being left on a pallet uncovered for several days. The colors are striking. My art teacher recommended these paints to me and I totally agree they are great
Comments about Rembrandt Rembrandt Extra-Fine Artists' Oils:
I like to pick my oil paints according to what pigments are used and how they handle rather than just the manufacturer. In general I find Rembrandt a good value. The paint is professional quality and less expensive than similar WN colors. They have a good selection of single pigment oils. My particular favorite is the Permanent Madder Deep, which is a beautiful alizarin crimson color -- is single pigment AND colorfast. The other thing I really appreciate is the actual tube----it has a cap that does not break, is large enough to make it easy to screw on and off multiple times--even using pliers. I don't know how many times my winsor and newton caps have stripped or cracked, difficult to use pliers on when stuck with dried oil.
