I was very pleased with the frames. The only fault was that some of the frames did not have all of the assembly parts included, some were missing the wire for hanging the pictures and some had the corner cardboard protectors stapled to the back of the frames and it was difficult to remove the staples. Just a minor fault but overall I was very pleased with the product.

The delivery of frames was very prompt. They are ok for everyday paintings I make. Kind of a modern look so it goes with my abstract but not sure it would look as well with a landscape. Really easy to assemble and all the pieces were there so it went very fast to put up on the wall. The frame itself was a bit thinner than what it looks like online, that's why I gave 4 stars.
Basically happy with it though.

This is the second time I have ordered these frames. They look great when you have a 1 1/2" deep gallery wrapped canvas you want to frame.

Be aware that these are made for stretched canvas, not cradled panels. I was able to make it work on a cradled panel, but only after a lot of time and effort. Product counts on having the wood stretcher to screw into and thus attach the frame. Cradled panel was just not wide enough to make this happen.

I have begun to sell my photos printed onto canvas. Wished to use the floater frames on them. So far with the ones I ordered some have had flaws that prevented me from using them. One had a very obvious scratch in the gold area, another has what looks like dents in gold area where a clamp was placed on it making the dent and then painted gold over but still shows and one had chips in the gold paint. These were all in the 16x20 size frames.

I'm a professional artist and use the floating frame quite often to display my art because it's unique and is offered in many sizes. The frame is contructed well and has all the hardware to hang included. Each year I stock up on this frame when there's a good sale. The only complaint I have is that every once in a while the silver or gold paint on the frame is scratched or bubbled from the manufacturer. The black on black is always fine and the new natural frame is excellant. I have many good comments about this frame from other artists and patrons alike.

Really like the look, very professional. Only suggestion would be for manufacturer to pre drill holes in frames so screws could go through and directly into panel without having to use extra hardware provided. Would be mush simpler and less time consuming.

These frames are perfect for my artwork. They do not distract from the painting but add to it by finishing it off nicely. Some of the side of the canvas can be seen, which is a nice touch. Sometimes, they will need a little touch-up where the finish is smudged or scratched.

As a multiple medium artist, I use the Ampersand boards quite a bit. I particularly love the 1/8" ones, but presenting them as a final product where it would look good was a challenge. I love these floater frames as it gives me the ease and ability to present my work in a professional manner with very little effort and keeping my costs down. Perfect for my encaustic works, mixed media and acrylic works.
I only wish they came in more ready made sizes that corresponded to the Ampersand line.

I thought I would try these floater frames out and got 3 in the black and 3 of the natural with black liner. Much to my dismay, they were made in China. [*] The black ones turned out to be ok IF I used my own hardware, not the stuff they sent, but I requested a full refund for the natural with black liner frames. The putty was oozing out of the corners and not cleaned up, the wood was extremely poor quality, with chips along the edges, and to top it off, when I used the black ones, and used the hardware that came with these frames, the screws (which can only go in one way) punched through the frame and were noticeable in the gap between the moulding and painting. I had to use different hardware (my own), and then fill the holes their hardware made. PLEASE, DO NOT PURCHASE THESE FRAMES!!!

These frames are great to use with 3/4 " canvases. any slight warp or twist in the canvas will be fixed by mounting into this frame. All edges of your painting will be visible. The frame never competes with the painting. They will enhance nearly any style. You can even paint the front edge to match or compliment a color in your painting.

I use these to frame artwork for gallery exhibits because they are inexpensive, lightweight and look good with most everything I paint. I order them in different finishes so they can be easily changed to suit a customer's taste. The only problem I have with them is I often receive frames with defects on the finish and with this order there were three. I returned them, at my own expense and they have been sent back to me however one still has a mark on it. So I will have to pay once more to mail it back. I'm not happy about that.

This is a terrific frame. It is inexpensive, but looks fantastic! Very easy to mount my canvas... I thought I might need power tools, but they were unnecessary. All mounting hardware is included. Overall, a wonderful effect!

I use these to frame flat panel scratchboards. The clips are screwed into frame and then glued with e6000 to the back of the board. They are perfect for my work. Only downside is you have to be careful, when dropped they ding pretty badly. Not wood, not sure what the composition is, but easily repaired.

They are listed under wood frames and I do not believe they are. They look very much like the plastic/resin composite material that is so often found on frames. That being said I was able to pre-drill the holes for the screws and they tighten very well (unlike plastic). I do really like the look and the price is great - which makes framing your art for sale a lot more feasible. If you are doing very many of them they are time consuming to put together though.

The floater frames do a great job accenting artwork done on stretched canvas. I use the gold accent frame which makes for a nice presentation without upstaging my painting. Simple but very pleasing to the eye. The quality has been very good as well.

Shrink wrap hourglassed the frame a bit but putting canvas in fixed it. Fit is very snug. Watch folds at corner if you are stretching your own canvas. Nice that hardware comes with. Fairly quick assembly. Simple, affordable, attractive frame for shows.

I purchased several natural floater frames for oil paintings I exhibited at an art show recently. I bought the "natural" shade which is actually unfinished with a black interior. I stained the unfinished parts in an off-white shade and then gave it two coats of poly. These simple, sparse frames highlighted the paintings and didn't cost an arm and a leg. My artwork does not command the prices which warrant spending hundreds of dollars per frame.

I bought the floater frames to see if they'd work for small paintings on stretched canvas that are going in a gallery. They did, so I ordered more. While there are details that expensive custom frames have that stock frames don't, these are a good value and look really nice and have a very modern but not trendy appearance. I paid about $13 per frame for something comparable to custom frames that would've cost me a minimum of $40 each, and was able to frame several paintings in one afternoon with the illusions floater frames.

Artists with moderate framing skills and a little finessing can make these comply to gallery requirements but plan on starting well in advance in case you need to swap out the brackets or find something similar at a hardware store. The concept of the brackets is good but they do not adapt to ALL types of canvases so don't wait til the last minute to start framing for a show.

These float frames for canvases are of very poor quality as one should expect, given the low price. The "Natural" finish is the most problematic with rough edges, gouges, and black stains. They required sanding and waxing, and were still kind of crummy looking. The black ones weren't as bad. Also. I had to modify the hardware for attaching the canvas to the frame as what was provided didn't work. To be fair, that might have been an idiosyncrasy of the stretcher bars. [...] So the frames get one star [...]

These floater frames are a great idea to finish off canvas work for display. The quality is good and the process of mounting the canvas is simple. My only complaint is that the natural finish is not really a "finish" as it appears in the sample images. The frames are unfinished raw wood. To complete the job they need a coat or two of varnish or paint. So plan on buying some sand paper and putting in a little extra time.

Jerry's should probably change the labeling here to "unfinished" rather than "natural." There is a big difference and if you look at the sample image, it's misleading.
