I take pride in providing my fine art clients with the best possible products. These "Edge" canvases were just fine until my last two shipments. There has been some repair on two of them right out of the box that was done at the factory. In one case, they even forgot to re-staple the wood stretchers back together.??? This is not a good trend and I will give them only one more chance before I switch brands. Also, there is no protection for the canvas during shipping. They are too easily damaged by the UPS, FEDEX crews. A single layer of thin cardboard is not adequate. FEDEX won't insure my paintings without a two inch layer of space/padding....what's up with the Edge folks?????

I ordered Several of these for a kids art class, they made Christmas and Hannukah paintings to give as gifts or keep. The great size is prefect for a trio of a theme, and the depth makes them great to stand on their own, plus they look so much more substantial than a thin canvas.

I haven't used these canvases before, but based on experimenting, so far so good. The only negative I've noticed is that acrylic washes tend to bead up or leave unpainted spaces. So I'm not sure how successful I'll be if I try a painting using acrylics like watercolors. All in all, I'd recommend these canvases to others, with the caveat that perhaps it's not the best surface if your ratio of water to pigment is high.

I used to buy another more expensive brand of canvas but bought a bunch of these in order to be cost conscious. The only difference I see is that these canvases are lighter but they are constructed very well. I have bought sizes 5"x5" up to 30"x30" and haven't had one problem with them.

This is a good product. I have found that some canvases have slight defects, "bubbles" or bulges that appear as though the canvas is not completely and evenly stretched. Overall, however, I think this product is a good value for the money when it is on sale. I have just recently started using The Edge Canvas. I will soon present my most recent work to the public and will get initial feedback in the near future.
I thought working on it was fine, but, I am anxious to see the public reception as far as quality of the canvas is concerned.

These 1 1/2 inch wrapped canvases are my all time favorite & the galleries I show at insist I use them because of the professional finished outcome. Great full & tight wrapping of canvas. And the edging on the back makes it super easy to add one's eye hooks & wiring.

I've been sold on these canvases for a very long time now. They are consistent in their quality and I've never had a problem with any of them. I especially like the fact that the 30x24's have a back brace that keeps them from warping.

I also recommend them to my students for both the quality and the price.

I recently retired from teaching high school art (36 years) and drove cross country & back (about 10,000 miles). I began a series of paintings based on my photos. My oil paintings are quite large & I didn't want to spend an excessive amount of time stretching canvasses so I ordered the "Edge" canvasses. First time 2 boxes(w/3 ea) of 3 foot by 5 foot and was very pleased with the quality and craftsmanship. The canvass has just the proper priming and texture to provide a wonderful painting surface. My second order was for 2 boxes of 3 foot by 4 foot canvasses. I may never stretch my own again. It's a pleasure to be able to just pull out another ready canvass each tome a I finish a painting. The price is less than what I was spending when I prepared the canvasses myself.

These are wonderful, they don't have to be framed, paint or work over edges.
The only thing that might be better is more wood on the back. But I do love these.
